Steve Blaze, guitarist, began playing classical and flamenco guitar at the age of six. At age 10, he discovered the power and majesty of rock music, in particular Alice Cooper. Since then, he has developed his own brand of classically infused heavy rock guitar, resulting in a 28-year career as an international recording artist. At the age of 20, he was asked by Jim Dandy, lead vocalist of Black Oak Arkansas, to play on his Ready as Hell album. At that time, Steve was at the inception of Lillian Axe, the band he would commandeer until the present day. After 13 releases, multiple tours worldwide and 1.5 million albums sold, Lillian Axe was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, as the first hard rock band to ever be inducted. In 2008, Blaze was voted by Guitar Player Magazine as one of the Top 40 Most Underrated Guitarists in the World. He has also released two albums with his side project, Near Life Experience. Presently, Blaze is penning new songs to record the first Sledgehammer record, due in 2016.
